About the Founder: Daniel T. Donnelly

Daniel T. Donnelly is the founder of Donnelly Mechanical (1989) and Donnelly Sustainable Energy Services (2009), both of which were successfully acquired by ENGIE North America in 2018. He built Donnelly Mechanical into one of New York City's premier mechanical contractors, generating over $175 million in revenue and employing more than 200 professionals.

With over 50 years of industry experience, Mr. Donnelly is widely recognized for his ability to lead sophisticated negotiations and high-level budgeting, paired with deep expertise in HVAC systems, MEP infrastructure, energy strategy, commissioning, design-build construction, and technical troubleshooting across some of the most complex properties in New York City.

In addition to his technical background, Mr. Donnelly brings 20 years of experience as a three-time Board President of luxury residential buildings in New York City, where he has successfully led global settlement strategies involving construction defects, sponsor disputes, major capital issues, capital repairs, and energy upgrades.

Mr. Donnelly's passion lies in the successful closeout of both commercial and residential projects. Over the course of his career, he has closed out several thousand seamless projects, with a particular focus on ensuring smooth transition, documentation, and turnover to operational staff.

His project portfolio includes Carnegie Hall, the New York Stock Exchange, Forbes, the NFL, Major League Baseball, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Yahoo, the New York Public Library system, and Disney/ABC.

Today, he serves as a strategic advisor, technical consultant, and executive coach, helping boards, building owners, and entrepreneurs navigate complex operational, financial, and technical challenges.
